Videos of 240z Design Development

Thanks to Ryan at Desert Datsuns and Greg from NICO.com, I present to you the video illustrating the design evolution of the original 240z.  Some of the designs were pretty different from what eventually became our beloved legend!  Check it out..........................

Here is another cool video showing some of the early work on the S30.  This one has an interesting narrative...............'interesting' as in rather weird.  I can't really place the accent.........

Spirit Garage Z

I LOVE THIS Z!!!  I WANT THIS Z!!!  Damn it, I've seen this car for years now in pictures and a video I can't find anymore.  This car makes me remember why I fell in love with the S30 in the first place.  Lust is too soft a word for what I feel for this Z car.  I would sooooo love to run it around the local tracks.  I know it'd be too fun!

Multi-State Datsun Classic--registration is now OPEN!

Registration is now OPEN!!  Sign up now for this great event.  Last year we had over 50 cars representing numerous models of Classic Datsun cars present.  The drive from Tucson took us through Phx, were we met up with the Desert Datsun crew.  A train of over 35 cars wound it's way around Arizona.  Passing through Prescott, picking up 4 more for the train, and Cottonwood, we arrived in Williams just in time to pick up the last of the good spots for the show!

My buddy Greg Feldman sent me a couple Datsun sketches and it inspired me to look for more.  Some of these are really, really good.  I certainly wish I had the talent to create such fine tributes to our cool cars.  There is some serious talent out there!  I found the majority of these at Ratsun.net   Bunch of great art, not doubt about it.   Check it out...........

Hako Love

With the 620 mostly done, they're always 'mostly done' aren't they, I've been thinking about the uber-cool Hako!  Seriously sexy beasts, they truly are.  Not as aesthetically beautiful at the s30, but sexy in a brutal sort of way.  Someday, maybe, a classic Hako will grace my shop.  Until then, I can dream, can't I?

Here's a guy who made his dream come true..............http://www.speedhunters.com/2012/06/the-long-journey-to-owning-a-dream-car/

Here's a paper cut out that you can construct into a little model of the Hako!  Try it!!

So cool!  This is from Mayday Garage via Kyasha Kai's blog.  Super low, super cool illustrations.  Wish I had this kind of talent.  Check these out................

To Flare or not to Flare, that is the Question.

Fender flares.  I've had 'em.  I've regretted having them.  I've wanted them again.  I'm torn about this.  On one hand you are cutting up a perfectly beautiful, classic car.  On the other, you're adding the capability for more performance and it does make the cars look BAD ASS.  What to do, what to do?
