 There was a lot of heresy stemming from last years SEMA show, when OS Giken had their crown jewel on display. Rumors of the head being remade and to be offered for $30,000 have been floating around since then. The rumors are true… and it gets even wilder.

Kev from JNC spoke to an Aussie OS-Giken distributer who confirmed that as of now, six heads cast in the 80′s have been set aside and all have been spoken for. One for a lucky Australian Z car nut, five slated to be delivered to U.S. enthusiasts, and a final head for OS Giken’s demo car. More heads are planned for casting with a current price tag of just under $42,000. OS Giken is also planning to sell a 3.2 liter crate motor complete with IRTBs and a header for a mind-boggling $90,000! 400HP at 11,000 RPMs? Yes please!

By the way, what’s the going rate for one’s kidney nowadays?

I still have both my Kidneys.....Trade one for this?  Hmmm, sounds like a fair deal to me!!

Banzai Datto Slideshow Video

Well, I just put together a slideshow of the first year of our group.  It isn't really anything great because I am not the best at this.  Still, lots of good times and lots of good friends.  Starting with the incredible 40 car gathering with the DesertDatsun from Phx.  It was just supposed to be an informal run up our mountain but it turned into so much more!!  A rolling car show through Tucson!  Then lots of little runs shows and of course, RACING!!  I hope you all like it.

Datto Wallpaper from the Interwebs

While browsing for more Datsun stuff on the internet...yes, it is an adiction....I kept coming across some cool Datsun Wallpapers.  I thought to myself that it would be cool to have them all in one place.  Well, here they are.  I made a whole theme with them for my Windows 7 box.  Pretty cool stuff, I can't wait until my Datsun is nice enough for some 'glamour' shots like these.  Enjoy.

Just registered for this great event.  Passed it along to all the Datto-Heads in Tucson so we should represent in good fashion! I know that all the Datsuns that have been down for the summer getting upgrades and/or repairs will be ready, finally, for this great event!!  We won't miss it!  I bet there will be over 100 Datsuns for what I can only hope is the first of many Multi-State Grand Datsun Classics!!  I can't wait!!

Missing my Z!

My Z has been down for a few months waiting for money and time to become available to finish the engine rebuild.  Of course, the old "while I am at it, I might as well" disease hit with a vengeance.  Yes, it has taken twice as long and cost three times as much.  As a consequence, I have been reliving some of the cool times I've had in my Datsuns with the guys in my group.  Here is a video I posted a few years ago that I still find pretty cool.  It's really just a slideshow done to music but it shows us all running various events around the West. The matte black one used to mine...I gave it to my brother when his caught fire and died.   Enjoy!
